#1565 translation
Y: do you know how to say “cooperation”in Arabic?
X: I know nothing about Arabic. What are you doing?
Y: my boss asked me to translate this document into Arabic. But my Arabic isn’t good enough.
X: as for me, you should tell you boss straightly.
Y: I told him before. But I am the only person who knows Arabic in my company. As a result, he asked me to try again.
X: thank god he hasn’t asked you to interpret!
Y: translation is difficult enough for me, not to mention interpreting. If he asked me to interpret, I would reject him in the first time.

#1538 Jiang Taigong Fishing
Y: Xintao, what is the next line of Jiang Taigong Fishing?
X: A willing victim will take the bait.
Y: Do you know the meaning of this story?
X: When ordinary People fishing, the fishing hooks they pick are always bent with bait, and then put them into the water to seduce the fish to take the bait. However, the hook of Jiang Taigong is straight without any bait, and he won’t put them into water. Instead, the hook will be three feet above the water.
Y: How can he catch any fish?
X: What's more interesting is when he is fishing, he would hold his fishing pole and saying ,“Those fish who don’t want to live can take my bait if you want to.”A man collecting firewood by the stream side see this and tell him,“you are not gonna catch any fish by doing this even for 100 year.” As a matter of fact, what he did isn’t for the fish, but for the nobility. His strange move was heard by King Wen of the Zhou Dynasty Jichang. Jichang realized that this fisherman must be the pillar of society, so he abstained from eating meat for three days, took a shower and changed his clothes, bringing some expensive present to invite Jichang to work for him.
Y: I know what’s happening next. Jiang Taigong helps him and his son to overthrow the rule of King Zhouwang of Shang dynasty, and set up the Zhou dynasty.
X: So, the saying that Jiang Taigong fishing, a willing victim will take the bait is always been using to describe that somebody has got some special idea and ambition, wanting to do some big business.

#1499 Drilling woods to make fire
YY: XinTao, have you ever tried to make fire by rubbing woods?
XT: Can people make fire without matches?
YY: Of course. Our ancestors Suiren invented the method of drilling woods to make fire.
XT: I have heard about it, but I have never tried it in my daily life.
YY: Everyone knows this Chinese idiom, but I’m afraid no one has ever tried it. How did Suren make fire exactly according to the folklore?
XT: I’m curious too. Can people make fire only by two pieces of woods?
YY: Of course. The method of drilling woods to make fire was stemmed from the principle of generation heat by friction. Coarse woods, combustible, generate heat by friction and are lighted by the stimulation of the heat. This method derived from an ancient Chinese mythology. And Sushi was the inventor.
XT: Wow, I finally learn about the details. It sounds easy; it all depends on the friction of woods.
YY: It sounds easy, but it’s hard to conduct. If you believe yourself, I’ll give you two pieces of woods, you can have a try. You won’t succeed even if you spare all your strength.
XT: It seems that drilling woods is a hard work.
YY: The success depends more on the quality of woods than on the strength you have. The woods must be dry enough, and some dry leaves and twigs are required to be put aside when drilling the woods as well. When you strike out sparks, they will split on the leaves and twigs and light them.
XT: I will have a try on the next camping. It’s interesting!
